Embracing the Curve: B.B.’s Guide to Dressing Curves

From polyester leisure suits to bell bottom jeans and every thing else in between, trends in fashion have changed numerous times through the years and they will continue to evolve as long as the earth keeps turning.

Even though I am a member of Generation X, I am drawn to the vintage fashion of the 1950s. To me, this fashion era is the epitome of femininity and sensuality.  If you scroll through my IG page you will see that dresses are my favorite article of clothing.  Dresses are a great choice for accentuating curves.

Marycrafts Vintage Evening Wiggle Midi Dress available at Amazon.com and @ninewest Leopard Pumps

My absolute favorite vintage design is the wiggle dress. The hem of a wiggle dress is narrower than the hips, which causes shorter strides whilst walking. The design of the dress also forces the legs closer together, which causes a wiggle of hips. What can be sexier than that? Add Cuban heel stockings and high heels and you’ll  be turning heads for miles.

Vfemage Vintage Bodycon Pencil Dress available at Amazon.com and Jessica Simpson Pumps from heels.com

Another great choice for accentuating curves is the bodycon dress. This type of dress usually fits tightly and hugs all the curves the wearer possesses. It is a great choice because it will fit you uniquely.

No matter what you choose make it your own and remember sexy is a state of mind. If you think it and feel it you will exude it.

If you are interested in the two styles I’ve discussed you can find great choices at these stores;
