The plus-size world is making it’s mark in the fashion industry. From growing acceptance of fuller-figured models in mainstream media to the introduction of clothing lines to accommodate the plus size shopper by major companies like Nike. These advances are showing the world we matter. A little closer to home – my hometown to be exact, we have the premier Full-figured Fashion Showcase District of Curves, which highlights the plus-size community of the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
District of Curves was founded by Mickey Armstrong and his executive team in 2014, and it has become a great vehicle for local models, designers, retailers, and bloggers. They are providing a great platform for the plus-size community to find and share interests.
On Saturday, April 15, 2017 the District of Curves Full Figured Fashion Showcase will take place at the Sphinx Club at Franklin Square hosted by plus-size model, Christina Mendez. Tickets are available at http://www.DistrictofCurves.com
