Keys in life, Love & Happiness

Today Is National Day of Encouragement!

encouragementThere are so many things in life that can keep us from moving forward. From past experiences to fears of the unknown, in addition to discouraging words of others and the voices in our heads. In spite of all of those possibilities, I want to urge you to keep going.

Like most of you, I have had some adversities in my life and I know how those ghosts can haunt the present. There are times when those bad experiences creep into my mind and I am reminded of how difficult it was. But, then I realize – it is in the past, and most of all – I survived.

I’m currently visiting a city I used to live in where I experienced the most difficult times of my life. As the day approached for my departure from home I began to feel apprehensive about the trip. I started to wonder how I would feel returning. I pondered over the possibility of the ghosts haunting my mind and crippling my ability to fulfill my purpose for coming here.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about what happened here, but honestly speaking I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without those experiences. The fact of the matter is I am stronger because of it. What I thought was going to destroy me actually renewed me.

“…ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day…” Genesis 50:20 KJV

Now, I view every situation I encounter, good or bad, as an opportunity to learn and grow as a person. Even with new ideas and endeavors that may not be readily accepted remember this,

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Norman Vincent Peale

So, I want to take this opportunity – since it is the National Day of Encouragement, to inspire all who read this. Regardless of what you may be facing today, be encouraged. You can make it.

Until the next time, be you and most importantly – love you.

Being uniquely you is being uniquely beautiful.
