WWBBW: What I Wore This Week

After some thought and consideration of my time, I decided to share everything I wore this week in one post on the blog instead of trying to share pictures daily. I also figured it would be great to capture my thoughts on the pieces I wore along with where I purchased them. So, here’s what I wore this week.

Sunday: I spotted this pink dress online at High Fashion Wears, which I stumbled upon while scrolling through Pinterest. I thought it would be a perfect piece to wear to church—so, I snagged it! I’m glad I did.

After reviewing the size chart, I ordered a 3X. I typically wear a 2X, but I didn’t think the measurements of the dress would accommodate my bust. For reference, I wear a size 40 G in bras. Sizing up was a good choice.

I paired it with my Steve Madden leopard-print calf-hair pumps to give the outfit a little flair and pop. Bottom line, I am satisfied with the purchase. I received a lot of compliments and it was a good choice for church.

Monday: To be perfectly honest, my favorite part about this outfit is the boot, which complements the Eloquii windowpane sweater and crop pants I paired them with. I’m still in awe at how well the Circus by Sam Edelman Sandy knee-high boot matches the pieces. I received a lot of compliments on this look. One of my co-workers called it “the perfect fall outfit.” I’ll take it!

The Eloquii sweater and matching pants are comfortable, stylish, and warm. I purchased both items in my regular size, which is 18 and they fit perfectly. The Sandy boot is relatively comfortable. I had to slide the shaft of the boot down to accommodate my calves—but it worked and it didn’t chafe my legs. Overall, I am happy with the purchases and the look of the outfit and I’m looking forward to rocking it again.

Thursday: This colorful number is another online find from High Fashion Wear. I saw this dress in the summer and I wanted it, but I couldn’t find it in my size. So, I was elated when I found it recently. I had such high hopes for this dress, but unfortunately, I was let down—and I think the look on my face captured that feeling. I also see I didn’t do a very good job ironing it, but I digress.

I didn’t have any issues with the look or quality of the dress. I wanted to wear the dress buttoned all the way up to the collar, but my ta-tas wouldn’t allow it. Instead, I wore it as a tunic over a black cami and black leggings with my red Nine West boots.

I purchased the dress in size 3X, but as I stated earlier it did not accommodate my breasts. However, a 4X would have been too big everywhere else, which would make me look frumpy.

Although I wasn’t satisfied with the look, I received a lot of compliments. Someone actually stopped me in the hall the next day to tell me they liked what I had on the day before!

Friday: This simple look comprises an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt I snagged from Amazon, my favorite Good American jeans, and DKNY wedges. I am fond of this outfit because it is comfortable and simple. I also think it complements my body type—it definitely lets the world know I’m “thick-thick.”

The sweatshirt is lightweight, yet warm. It isn’t bulky, which allows it to fall nicely at the hip. I’ve shared how much I love the fit of Good American jeans. They have a good amount of stretch, yet they hold their shape throughout the day. I highly recommend these jeans! The DKNY wedges are relatively comfortable. I was able to wear them all day; however, I couldn’t wait to put my Nine West mules on to drive home! Overall, I was happy with my Friday #OOTD.

So, this is what I wore this week. Now I need to figure out what I’m wearing next week—Lord willing, of course.

Until the next time be you—and more importantly—love you.

Being uniquely you is being uniquely beautiful.
