What Would B.B. Wear? Product Review: Adore Me Carries Plus-Size Bras, But Do They Lift the Girls High to the Heavens or Leave Them Hanging Low to the Flo’?

In one of the earliest posts I wrote for this blog, I shared my love for matching bras and panties. So, it isn’t surprising that I decided to check out Adore Me since they claim to carry plus-size lingerie. But before I get into my thoughts surrounding the pieces I bought, let me tell you a little bit about the brand.

Adore Me launched in 2011 as an online store providing bras and lingerie. They claim to be the first lingerie brand to offer extended sizes across all their products, which includes sleep and lounge, activewear, and swimsuits. I was curious about the line because I think their designs are cute, fun, and sexy. I like pretty bras, but it can be difficult finding them in large sizes.

As I shared before, I believe a confident and polished look begins with how we feel. For me, how I look on the outside is typically indicative of how I am feeling on the inside. Lacey and colorful bras and panties make me feel feminine, pretty, and sometimes sexy. So when I saw Adore Me had lingerie in my size, I ordered a few sets.

From my perspective, Adore Me has very cute stuff and their prices are reasonable. If you are an non-VIP member, your first bra and panty set typically starts at $49.95. I purchased the Celebrena Contour Plus bra and matching panties and the Stacie Unlined Plus bra with matching panties—which are still available for purchase.

I had high hopes for the sets, but they let me down. The Celebrena bra didn’t provide any support—I didn’t feel or look like I had on a bra. However, the Stacie bra gave a little support, not enough for me to wear every day, but it is sufficient for wearing at home while lounging. They would both be perfect if I had a boo, but I digress.

I ordered two other sets that aren’t available anymore; however, I had the same results. For reference, I wear a size 42DDD and I had better luck with the unlined bras. They provided more support, but not enough for all-day activities. I was also concerned about my “headlights” showing through my top if they decided to come on. I’m not interested in giving any free peep shows—especially if I’m unaware of it.

I started writing this review a little while ago, but I was nudged to finish it by two things— Valentine’s Day and a recent IG post. With the “day of love” swiftly approaching, I figured there may be a few of you searching for lingerie for yourself or for someone you love. Even if you’re like me, single, and realize no one will see your bra and panties but you, we still deserve cute stuff that fits!

A few days ago I saw a sponsored ad on IG stating how well Adore Me bras fit well-endowed women. Typically when I see things I disagree with, I mumble to myself and keep scrolling, but this time I commented. I asked a somewhat rhetorical question.

As you can tell from my comment, I was not impressed with the overall level of support the bras I purchased provided. Were they cute? Yes, but there isn’t anything attractive about droopy boobies in a bra. In all honesty, I don’t think the bras were designed for everyday wear. The pieces remind me of Frederick’s of Hollywood, meaning, they aren’t meant to be on the body for long—if you catch my drift.

It wasn’t clear to me whether or not @remy_bonbagay agrees with me or not—I didn’t inquire. Be that as it may, in my humble opinion, if you have large breasts and you’re looking for something to ignite foreplay with your honey that will lead to full-play, then Adore Me bras fit the bill for consideration. But if you’re looking for a bra to wear to work for an eight-hour shift, I don’t recommend them.

Until the next time be you—and more important—love you.

Being uniquely you is being uniquely beautiful.
