What Would B.B. Wear (WWBBW): The Buxom Beauty’s Style

Considering this Buxom Beauty wore leggings, a t-shirt, and a headwrap every day during the latest self-isolation time, it was a bit of a struggle to find a topic for this WWBBW post. I’m usually inspired by something I’ve worn or something I’d like to add to my wardrobe. In addition to not being in the routine of “dressing up” for work, I haven’t purchased any new clothes. But my BFF gave me a splendid idea to explore, he said, “Write something about your style.”

As I began shaping the idea of this post, I thought it would be good to start with defining what style is. Style is an outward display of how we feel about ourselves on the inside; which, is individually defined and expressed. Style is a demonstration of self-confidence and fashion risk-taking.

When it comes to my style, I take risks—to an extent. I choose clothes that I feel look good on me and matches my personality and how I view myself. I like to wear different hairstyles that add a sense of flair and variety to my looks. And when it comes to make-up, I like to keep it minimalistic.

I like to wear bright colors and bold patterns. Occasionally, I like to add an unexpected accessory or garment to give a look a little more character and personality.

Some people believe there is such a thing as a “fashion fail”—I don’t. One of the main aspects of style is having the confidence to be unapologetic about who you are and how you express it. Like everything else in life, everyone is not going to accept or understand your style, but that doesn’t mean you should stop being you. Does this mean I like every fashion ensemble I see? No, I don’t. But I realize everybody has an opinion and it is up to each individual to decide whose opinion matters. I choose mine, and I want to encourage you to choose yours and flaunt it proudly!

Until the next time be you—and more important—love you.

Being uniquely you is being uniquely beautiful. – B.B. 💋
